Organic Farming • Cultural Exchange • Sustainable Living • Farm Stay Experience
If you are looking for a meaningful way to explore Nepal while learning new skills, the Agriculture Volunteer Program at Agro Farm House & Research Centre is the perfect opportunity. Located just 3 hours from Kathmandu in the peaceful hills of Nuwakot, our farm offers hands-on agricultural learning, cultural immersion, and eco-friendly accommodation for volunteers from around the world.
Why Volunteer in Agriculture in Nepal?
Agriculture is the heart of rural Nepal. By volunteering, you help local communities adopt organic farming practices, improve sustainability, and build stronger food systems. Nepal’s farms are rich with fruits, vegetables, cardamom, herbs, and traditional crops — making it the ideal place to learn natural farming methods.
As a volunteer, you support the transition from chemical-based agriculture to clean, regenerative farming.
About Our Agriculture Volunteer Program
At Agro Farm House, volunteers work side-by-side with local farmers and our team in daily farm activities. No experience is required — just a willingness to learn and participate.
Common Volunteer Tasks Include:
- Organic farming (planting, watering, weeding, mulching)
- Assisting with fruit farming (orange, banana, papaya, citrus, seasonal fruits)
- Cardamom and spice farming workshops
- Vegetable harvesting and seed collection
- Learning composting and waste-management techniques
- Beekeeping observation and honey collection
- Cattle care (feeding, cleaning, and milking assistance)
- Farm-to-table meal preparation
- Creating eco projects and gardening designs
- Helping at the local school (optional)
Each activity teaches valuable skills and contributes directly to the sustainability of our land and community.
